The YT27 air-leg rock drill is a 27 kg lightweight pneumatic drilling unit designed for wet drilling on medium to hard rock, with a borehole diameter range of 34–45 mm. It is widely deployed in railway, highway, and hydropower engineering projects, as well as mining and tunneling operations. The unit integrates blast-hole cleaning, high rotary torque, air-water linkage, and quick-return air leg mechanisms to support streamlined on-site operations. It is manufactured by Xianghe Kaituo Mining Machinery Co., Ltd., with full matching accessories available for commercial procurement teams.
This pneumatic rock drill delivers strong blast-hole cleaning function and high rotary torque, supporting efficient rock breaking and hole formation in medium to hard rock formations. It adopts a flange control valve structure for gas distribution, which supports stable performance during extended drilling cycles. The unit is suited for rock drilling operations in large-scale mines and roadway projects, with a maximum drilling depth of 5 m. Its structural design aligns with the operational requirements of underground and open-air construction sites.
The drill is equipped with air-water linkage, air-leg quick return, and air pressure adjustment mechanisms. All control handles are positioned around the main handle, with a compact structural design that supports straightforward operation. The air-water linkage structure enables coordinated control of compressed air and water supply, which simplifies on-site operation steps and supports consistent wet drilling execution. The quick-return air leg reduces downtime during position adjustment and rod replacement.
A sound-deadening cover is included with the unit, which reduces exhaust noise and allows adjustable exhaust direction. This design helps improve on-site working conditions for drilling operators. The unit supports standardized wet drilling operations, which reduces dust generation during the drilling process and aligns with on-site construction safety and environmental requirements.

This series of air-leg rock drills is designed for use across multiple industrial and infrastructure sectors. Key application areas include railway construction, tunnel engineering, highway projects, metallurgical operations, coal mining, and water conservancy and hydropower construction projects. The unit’s lightweight structure and wet drilling capability make it adaptable to both underground mining operations and open-air infrastructure construction sites. Enterprise customers can select corresponding drill bits and air leg configurations based on specific project rock conditions and construction requirements.
Before starting drilling work, inspect the integrity and rotation of all components, including the rock drill, bracket, or rock drill cart. Fill in necessary lubricant, and check that air and water pipelines are unobstructed with firm connection joints. Conduct roof and side wall inspection near the working face to identify and handle loose or live rocks. For uneven working surfaces, flatten the hole position in advance to prevent slippage or hole displacement during drilling.
Wet drilling is required for all operations; dry drilling is strictly prohibited. During operation, turn on the water supply first, then activate the air supply. When stopping drilling, turn off the air supply first, then cut off the water supply. Start drilling at low speed initially, and switch to full-speed drilling after the hole reaches a certain depth. Operators must not wear gloves during drilling work. When using the air leg for drilling, maintain proper standing posture and position; do not apply body weight to pressurize the drill, and do not stand in front of the working drill rod to avoid injury from broken drill steel.
If abnormal sound or abnormal water discharge occurs during drilling, stop the machine for inspection, identify and eliminate the cause before continuing drilling. When withdrawing the rock drill or replacing the drill rod, run the drill at low speed and pay attention to the position of the drill steel.
